The informal photography will happen naturally, so no need to plan for that — just enjoy yourselves on the day, and I'll take care of it, although a smile at the camera from time to time wouldn't hurt! If it suits you, I'll begin the day by photographing the bride preparing for the ceremony, getting dressed or having her hair and makeup done. This is also a good time to photograph the bouquet or another suitable still life. Of course, I'll be as unobtrusive as possible, so as not to interrupt the hustle and bustle.
Then I'll photograph the bride arriving at the ceremony, and, if time permits, I'll photograph the nervous groom too, waiting for her at the altar! From here on in, it depends on the venue. Some churches don't allow flash photography during the ceremony, and others don't allow photography at all until the signing of the register, so we'll have to discuss what photography is permissible. After the ceremony, we'll move on to the formal photography, and then the reception. I'll stay at least until the first dance, or longer if your guests are still happy to be snapped.
Rather than quote you a high price for the photography, and album, and prints, I prefer to quote you a low price for the photography itself, retouched and delivered to you on CD. You are then free to do with those images as you please, though I also offer high-quality in-house archival printing. The price for the photography is £600, plus travel and accomodation if you're outside of London. You'll also get a private web gallery, so you and your guests can view your images and even order reproductions online. Please email gs@gormshackelford.com for bookings or questions.
